Vote Tuesday, November 7
What does Council membership look like?

Tega Cay City Council is comprised of 5 non-partisan elected members. Four Council Members and One Mayor, each carrying equal voting rights and running on 4-year staggered terms. The mission of Council is to guide the City to meet the strategic vision of the City, through the passage of Ordinances and Resolutions.
Which seats are up for election in Nov?

Mayor and two (2) Council seats.
Our current Mayor George Sheppard is not seeking another term. We have 2 folks running for Mayor, current council members Dottie Hersey and David O'Niel. The 2 council seats that are up for election are those currently held by Jennifer Stalford and Dottie Hersey. Jennifer Stalford is not seeking re-election and Dottie Hersey is running for Mayor. There are 7 candidates running for the 2 open Council seats.
